Quentin's Weeknotes 10/17/21-10/23-21
This Week:
- I finished reading John Langan’s novel “The Fisherman”, a well-written piece of cosmic horror with an astonishingly baroque mythology. It’s a novel about death and life, and how we treat others in the time we have. It’s also about the Leviathan lurking underneath creation, and water, and the building of the Ashokan reservoir near where I live.
- On Sunday, our fam took a trip to Seven Tubs nature area in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to meet up with the Minister of Intrigue and his fam.
- In MUST251, I taught about gender, class, and teacups from Diana Wall’s article about the same. I also submitted mid-term grades.
- I did some preparatory work for my participation in the upcoming Repatriation conference, organized by the AAIA.
- I watched “Underwater”, a great monster movie with understated (but well done) Lovecraftian overtones.
