Quentin's Weeknotes 10/19/19-10-25/19
This Week:
- I went to western Mass (Springfield, Holyoke, and Brimfield) for the celebration of a deceased friend.
- I read this monumental article about the recitation of the Haudenosaunee Great Law of Peace and its implications for the coming climate crisis.
- In the class I’m teaching on Collectors and Collecting, we have talked about the phenomenon of “touching greatness”–a mode of collecting that is rooting in connecting onesself to larger forces or people through objects. Lo and behold, I see this story in Rollingstone, on the history of the sweater that Kurt Cobain wore during the taping of Nirvana Unplugged.
