Quentin's Weeknotes 4/25/21-5/1/21
This Week:
- My collections management students started their final projects, dealing with inventorying “found in collections” objects, and getting old glue off stone tools, respectively.
- I finished reading the first volume of “Folklords” by Matt Kindt and Matt Smith, which is a clever, meta-fictional fantasy comic a la Fables.
- I read “Dead Trees Give No Shelter” by Wil Wheaton (yeah, that Wil Wheaton). It was a short, twilight zone-ish novella about a man trying to find a monster that brutalized his family when he was a kid.
- I worked on my Annual performance review, which was complicated by the pandemic and the various reverberations therefrom. These are always difficult (and sometimes exhausting), but it was sort of edifying to take stock of what things I had actually accomplished during the last year.
- I started assembling an object list for on an upcoming exhibit on Mexican masks.
