Quentin's Weeknotes 6/6/20-6/12/20
This Week
- We attended the Rally for Black Lives in Delhi, NY. Like many central New York towns, Delhi is a predominately White community, so it was inspiring to see such a large and enthusiastic crowd supporting of Black Lives.
- I hosted the Yager Museum’s Artists conversation with Cathie Jamieson, whose work features in our current exhibit dadibaajimo: Two Mississauga Artists Share Stories. Cathie and I have known each other since I worked for the Mississaugas of the Credit Consultation Office, and she’s a great artist and a smart and interesting person.
- Along with several others, I worked on completing a grant proposal from the IMLS.
- I finished reading Alex Vitale’s “The End of Policing” but am still collecting my thoughts about it. As of this posts publication, it’s still free as an ebook from Verso and you should definitely read it!
