Weeknotes: 03/02/25-03/08/25

This Week:

• I did a lot of legwork to line up speakers for my upcoming North American Material Culture class, and tried to finish the syllabus.
• In MUST204, we talked about museum databases and object labelling and finding objects, and we all shared what we learned about other Museum’s collections policies.
• I spent some time downloading books from amazon and converting them into a format I can continue to read regardless of having amazon stuff, since Amazon has decided to shut that feature off.. See also, the Digital Packrat Manifesto, below.
• With my intern, I worked on getting further in cataloging the Hartwick Seminary collection.
• If all goes well tomorrow, we’ll get our taxes done, thanks to Hartwick’s VITA program
