Weeknotes: 11/29/25-12/05/25
This Week:
- It’s the last week of classes at Hartwick. Students in MUST205 class are finishing their display cases, and I finished mine, showcasing a new acquisition of a William Hogarth Print.
- I did some work coordinating the Museum’s work study schedule for Finals week and J-Term.
- Tuesday was a snow day, so the kids were mostly with me at the Museum.
- I gave a guest lecture on the Caspar Meyer busts of Indigenous people that we have in the Museum.
- I did some good NAGPRA work, and helped a former intern with an MA thesis project.
- Good things:
- I watched the annual “Nowell Sing We Clear” livestream from the Latchis Theater in Brattleboro. This is a delightful tradition that I look forward to every year, both as a way to hear beautiful holiday music, and also to remember my teacher Tony Barrand.
- On Bandcamp Friday, in a wild fit of discordance, I bought Finest Kind’s Christmas album “An Ottowassail” and Geese’s post-punk explosion “Getting Killed”.
